Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Join a team pioneering advancements in airspace safety through cutting-edge drone detection and airspace technology. We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to drive the development of high-performance embedded software systems. This role offers flexibility, with options for remote or hybrid work from Syracuse, NY. MUST be able to come into the office in Syracuse, NY - this is NOT a remote from anywhere position.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop software components to enhance sensor capabilities, including target detection, data processing, and fault recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Software, Systems, RF engineers) to elevate product functionality.
  • Write efficient code, participate in design reviews, and ensure robust system validation and verification.
  • Engage in process improvements, driving innovation and maintaining alignment with industry trends.

Qualifications :

  • Required : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with a strong programming foundation. 5+ years of experience with expertise in C++ and Python, and embedded Linux (Ubuntu / PetaLinux).
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is a MUST!
  • Preferred : Familiarity with Radar Systems, Signal Processing, Python / MATLAB, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication skills, creativity in problem-solving, and a drive for continuous improvement.

    • Compensation & Benefits : Competitive salary, up to $165,000 based on experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package. This includes health insurance, flexible time off, 401(k) contributions, plus life and disability insurance.
