Part-Time Event Security Officer

Securitas is seeking professional Part-Time Event Security Officers to join our team in Harrison, NJ. This position is strictly event-based, meaning shifts are scheduled around venue events, with a primary focus on weekend evenings and occasional weekday evenings.

As an Event Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and performers at large-scale events such as concerts, sporting events, and festivals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bag checks and frisking for prohibited items (e.g., weapons, contraband, outside food / drink)
• Verify tickets and identify signs of fraud or tampering
• Monitor crowd behavior and manage flow to prevent bottlenecks or safety concerns
• Identify and de-escalate situations involving disruptive or unsafe behavior
• Monitor backstage, VIP, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access
• Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, fire, or disturbances
• Administer basic first aid and coordinate with emergency responders as needed
• Assist in executing evacuation procedures when necessary
