A community-based K–12 site is looking for a Substitute Paraprofessional to fill in when regular support staff are absent. The role offers variety and flexibility across grade levels and subject areas, assisting certified teachers in maintaining learning continuity and classroom structure.

Responsibilities / Duties :

Cover classroom paraprofessional responsibilities during short-term vacancies, providing instructional and behavioral support

Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce lessons and provide additional academic help

Support teachers by organizing and preparing instructional materials, learning centers, and learning tasks

Supervise student transitions, recess / lunch, and classroom routines, ensuring a safe, orderly environment

Monitor and document student engagement, behavior and progress, providing feedback when directed

Adjust to different classroom settings, grade levels, and instructional styles with ease

Qualifications / Desired Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or training in education a plus

Experience working with students in classroom, tutoring or similar educational support role preferred

Strong adaptability, ability to follow established classroom procedures and manage multiple tasks

Effective communication skills, patient and committed to supporting diverse learners

Reliable, punctual and available for variable assignments
