Business Development Specialist
Do you have a passion for networking and helping win new clients? Bohler is looking for a Business Development Specialist to support our Northeast Division in securing new work opportunities and developing a strong pipeline of future business. As Business Development Specialist, you will follow through on Bohler's purpose of empowering the ambitious to become the accomplished by partnering with our divisional BD leadership in executing the Northeast's growth plan around new client pursuits. This role reports directly to our Sr. Manager of Business Development.
What You'll Do :
- Partner with BD team, Project Managers and clients to coordinate business development activities
- Identify and develop relationships with clients, associations and business networks to grow awareness
- Research potential clients within an area, state, or region as related to overall strategy and report findings to your manager for strategy discussion and implementation plan
- Work with your manager to develop leads
- Coordinate proposals and presentations in with the Marketing Team
- Performance selling of engineering services across all company sectors
- Assist with client assignments, tracking and follow-up, and coordinating efforts
- Meet with existing vendors and sub-consultants for lead generation
- Make initial calls to clients and contacts to inquire about / confirm leads
- Assist manager with pursuit strategies including potential client research and existing relationship research
- Assist with special projects, internal strategies, and staff development
- Encourage and participate in business and community activities promoting Bohler's services
- Proactively learn about the land development industry and life-cycle to better support the business
- Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring :
High School or diploma or GED required; Associates / Bachelor's Degree in related discipline referred5+ years of business development or related experienceKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus, or demonstrable experience managing with data entry, reports and other administrative tasks within a comparable CRMExperience in the architectural, engineering and / or construction (AEC) industry a plus; or similar professional services (legal, accounting, finance) preferredProficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsClient-centric attitude and problem-solving mindsetAbility to handle confidential documents and information with discretion and in a professional mannerSelf-starter with strong multi-tasking, time management and follow-up skills.
