Job Title : Laser Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Laser Operator to join our team. The role involves operating a plasma cutting machine to cut various electrically conductive materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and copper. The operator will upload code and manage the machine operations, ensuring materials are organized on racks or pallets for transport to the shipping / receiving department.

Responsibilities

• Operate the plasma cutting machine by uploading code and initiating machine operations.
• Organize and place materials on racks or pallets for transport.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain flexibility to operate different machines as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fabrication shop where you will be responsible for running the machine by uploading code. You will not need protective gear like hoods or gloves, as welding is not a requirement. The role operates on two shifts : First Shift from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM and Second Shift from 4 : 00 PM to 12 : 30 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLATHE, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
