Scope of Position :

This highly motivated individual, as part of the Assembler team, will be responsible for assembling water heaters and / or components using hand tools and portable power tools.

This position reports to the Manufacturing supervisor, will be fully onsite and based in Fort Worth, Texas.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

\n

  • Assemble and test commercial water heaters and burners using hand / light power tools, tape measure and measuring devices, such as torque wrenches.

\n

  • Troubleshoot any abnormalities that may occur during manufacturing or assembly.
  • \n

  • Read, understand and follow assembly instructions.
  • \n

  • Utilize gas analyzer equipment for testing
  • \n

  • Adapt to any new requirements or processes.
  • \n

  • Inspect parts and finished products for quality, reporting defects or inconsistencies.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.
  • \n

  • Perform day-to-day functions : assembling, 5S Housecleaning, participation in any and all required safety training, power tools and hand tools usage training.
  • \n

  • Assist other team members when needed, remain flexible and able to perform other duties as needed.
  • \n

  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Value Stream Supervisor or Company management.
  • \n

  • Responsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)

    Required Qualifications

    \n

  • 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • \n

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • \n

  • Read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • \n

  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • \n

  • Basic Computer skills.
  • \n

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical assembly, electrical wiring, hydro testing, plumbing, setup, insulation and fabrication skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and understand schematics for wiring and plumbing instructions, Bill of Materials (BOM), and engineering drawings as needed to build / assemble products.
  • \n

  • All other duties as required.
  • \n

  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • \n

  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

    Working Conditions :

    While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's Fort Worth location. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

    Physical Requirements : Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to :

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • \n

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • \n

  • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • \n

  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
  • \n

  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
  • \n

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
  • \n \n
