Overview
HVAC Controls Technician III role at Daikin Applied Americas. Location : Charlotte, NC – Onsite.
What You Will Do
- Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
- Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
- Create and / or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
- Commission controls installations and verify that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications.
- Provide training and follow-ups for customers and operations personnel.
- Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy.
- Continually look for ways to improve processes and our ability to serve customers effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.5+ years related experience.Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without an accommodation.Required license(s) and / or training card as required by local law district.Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.Current first aid / CPR card.Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.Competency in operation of engineering / commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals.Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls.Ability to understand written sequences of operation.Ability to read low voltage wiring diagrams and controls flow diagrams.Niagara AX and / or Niagara 4 certification.Experience with common integration protocols such as BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL.Strong computer skills, including networking fundamentals.Good verbal and written communication skills.Customer-focused, results-oriented professional, and strong team player.Motivated self-starter with initiative.Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized.Benefits
