Shared Imaging is currently looking to add a Full Time Regional Transportation Manager to our Transportation team! Regional coverage would be PA, NJ, NY, KY, FL, GA, AL, with the potential to oversee additional areas.

Work Schedule :

  • Remote opportunity
  • Monday through Friday, evenings and weekends as company demands require
  • Ability to be a backup driver
  • 25% travel - driving coverage, training, site visits

Summary of Job Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Senior Transportation Manager, the East Region Transportation Manager is the manager responsible for the activities of Shared Imaging's Transportation operations and personnel across the region for mobile, fixed and Interim customers as well as yard sites.

The East Region Transportation Manager Functions :

  • Provide leadership to direct reports in their assigned regions.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of medical coaches in compliance with company standards and state and federal regulations.
  • Work closely with Regional & Interim Operations Managers and Supervisors to ensure that customer schedules are met.
  • Provide employees with accurate schedules. Review and scrutinize timecards and ELD's to ensure DOT compliance is met.
  • Review and address driver safety performance through dashcam videos, alerts, and coaching sessions.
  • Responsible for annual and semi- annual performance evaluations as well as goal setting.
  • Be a member of the transportation safety committee and participate in keeping our employees and assets safe.
  • Report all incidents, accidents, or near misses immediately to HR. Conduct investigations and report to HR for Safety Committee review.
  • Coordinate and conduct driver training and safety for new hires- Including Ride Alongs.
  • Work in OMS to create SRs for trailer and tractor issues and follow up on necessary repairs when needed
  • Communication and escalation to Senior transportation manager and ROM as necessary
  • Conduct disciplinary action when needed and provide praise when earned.
  • Maintain and improve customer service levels for internal and external customers.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, teamwork, and fair treatment within the transportation team.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster compliance with quality requirements.
  • Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Achieve key financial targets such as managing transportation / staffing / repair related expenses

  • This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
  • Education, Experience and Travel :

    Physical Demands :

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Education and Experience :

  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years of equivalent transportation experience.
  • 5 years of experience in transportation management type operations.
  • Firm knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Two years in leadership role.
  • Medical coach experience.
