Janitor

JFCAC is a Community Action Agency, incorporated in 1965. We provide resources and services to individuals and families in Jefferson and Franklin Counties, in Missouri.

We are looking to add a part-time Janitor to our Team!

JOB SUMMARY :

The Janitor performs a variety of janitorial, custodial and / or maintenance tasks to maintain a clean and safe work environment. They will report to our Jefferson County Office, located in Hillsboro and use a company vehicle to travel to their assigned sites in Franklin County.

MAJOR TASKS :

• Sweeps, vacuums and mops floors and stairs.
• Cleans and sanitize bathrooms daily.
• Cleans sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restocks supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empties all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
• Dusts such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets and desks that are not cluttered.
• Cleans windowsills and windows.
• Maintains janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintains janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Provides proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Purchases cleaning supplies as necessary.
• Replaces light bulbs and fuses.
• Assists the Maintenance Manager of general maintenance of grounds including removal of snow from sidewalks and salting of walkways.
