DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure the compliance of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial rules and regulations for reporting.
- Reconcile receivables and cost centers by analyzing receivables and bank accounts.
- Travel Requests : Receiving advance request, confirming amounts, forwarding requests to A / P, monitoring submission of final expense reports, reconciling final reports, informing Payroll of any deductions that need to be made. Travel reconciliation upon return. Reconcile travel advances to completed expense reports on a monthly basis.
- Maintain fixed assets register, including changes in value to fixed assets.
- Provide statistical and other data as requested.
- Depreciation A / R - Receive incoming payments and ensure they are directed to the proper account.
- Monthly billing statements for Tribal Complex rent, maintenance and utilities, postage and supplies, payroll and benefits.
- Prepare A / R Aging Report activities as required.
- Perform collection activities as required.
- Prepare A / R related account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile Inter-Tribal accounts as assigned.
- Drawdown request.
- Review and rewrite travel policy.
- Review and rewrite A / R policy in conjunction with A / P technician.
- Create records retention policy in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Receive incoming phone calls.
- Provide other assistance as necessary.
- All other job duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS :
Progressive experience in federal grant management including procurement and subrecipient monitoring.Working knowledge of WRITC governmental operations and federal / state and contract funding mechanisms.Broad base of relevant technical knowledge and skills related to accounting and financial management and procurement systems, fund accounting experience desirable.Good research, data management and statistical analysis skills.Detail oriented with great verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Microsoft Office Applications, proficiency in Excel and Word.Ability to maintain dependable attendance, reliability, and productivity.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Must demonstrate sound organizational skills including, but not limited to multitasking, spreadsheets, work processing and data programs.Demonstrate a positive attitude for meeting the general public, funding officials, tribal employees and Council members.Knowledge of MIP / Microix is preferred, but not required.Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.EDUCATION :
Associates Degree preferred, Applicable experience in fund accounting, administration, grants management and compliance.REQUIREMENTS :
