Responsibilities Work in a hospital setting performing complete and limited echocardiograms Use GE and Philips ultrasound machines Procedures include Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with no call required Average of 7 exams scheduled per day, with occasional add-on cases Use the hospital electronic medical record system for patient information and reporting Perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams and administer enhancement agents as needed Prepare and educate patients for procedures to ensure cooperation and minimize anxiety Contact referring provider for clarification if exam orders appear incorrect Document findings and critical results in accordance with departmental policy Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards Study guides for EKG testing will be provided No dysrhythmia exam required Local candidates accepted Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac / Echo Sonographer Current BLS certification required ARDMS certification required; CCI certification not accepted Associate degree in a related health science field is preferred Must pass a Pass / Fail EKG test on the first day, with up to two attempts allowed Radius rule : candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626725.
