Job Description :

The LSU Manship School of Mass Communication invites applications for a nine-month non-tenure track position as a Professional-in-Residence for the Journalism Area to begin in Fall 2026. Applications will be reviewed beginning in January 2026. We seek a distinguished journalism practitioner to teach four courses per semester in the undergraduate core curriculum and / or courses in media writing introduction to broadcast broadcast advanced newsgathering TV news producing broadcast capstone and other courses related to areas of lieu of a fourth course the PIR will work with and support LSU Student Media.

Job Responsibilities :

Teach up to four undergraduate courses per semester in the Manship School of Mass lieu of a fourth course the PIR will assist with LSU Student Media as needed.

Minimum Qualifications :

Masters degree in mass communication or related field with 8 years of related experience.

Additional Requirements :

FERPA - As with all LSU employees due to this position title and / or responsibilities this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services.
