Senior Construction Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed takeoffs using industry-standard software.
• Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain competitive bids and manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Create project budgets and track expenditures to ensure profitability.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and generate reports as required.
• Contract Review: Review and analyze contract documents to ensure alignment with estimates and project scopes.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in takeoff software (Smartsheet, Auto Desk, Pro Core, Blue Beam).
• Microsoft Word and Excel expertise.
• Experience with Gantt chart scheduling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to challenges.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a small team environment with a "can-do" attitude and a willingness to pitch in where needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years of experience in estimating and project management.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
