Overview
PROJECT SITE SUPERVISOR at Select Event Group . We are seeking an experienced and reliable Project Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites. The role includes training, developing and managing foremen, coordinating field crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, maintaining safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of foremen and crew members across project sites.
- Protect the Company's interests by ensuring proper handling of equipment to minimize wear and tear and prevent damage.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and timelines.
- Exercise discretion and judgment with respect to project activities.
- Monitor site productivity, work quality, and crew performance; report underperformance immediately for personnel adjustments.
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, or promotion of employees.
- Conduct daily site meetings with foremen to review progress, site safety, schedule, and issue resolution.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project managers to maintain efficient workflows.
- Report on job progress, delays, and changes to project management.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, and site documentation.
- Assist with scheduling, material ordering, and equipment management.
- Train and develop foremen and crew; the ability to train strong foremen and crew is a key metric of success.
- Participate in hands-on project work as needed to elevate foremen and crew.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a construction site supervisor.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Leadership and team management skills with experience managing multiple crews.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training required.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Preferred Qualifications
Trade background (e.g., carpentry, concrete, framing) with hands-on field experience.Proficiency with construction management software or reporting tools.Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus; English is required.Working Conditions : Full-time, primarily field-based at active project sites; must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions; routine overtime and weekend work is often required to meet project deadlines.Job Function and Industry
