Job Overview
The Maintenance Lead Technician is responsible for all aspects of facility and operational equipment maintenance, including conveyors, plumbing, forklifts, compressors, stretch wrap machines, dock doors, and more. This role ensures reliable operation of utility systems, electrical distribution, and distributed control systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all conveyor systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and implement improvements in distributed control systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex electrical and power distribution issues.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for equipment installation or maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot issues related to logic controllers and other automated systems within the utility framework.
Experience
Proven experience as an electrical maintenance lead or similar position is preferred.Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintaining utility systems.Previous exposure to distributed control systems and logic controller operations.Technical school certificate and 5+ years related experience; or High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years related experience.5+ years supervisory experience.Hands-on trade experience, welding, PLC, electrical wiring, mechanical, and demonstrated problem-solving skills.Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of current trade-related regulations and practices.Ability to operate material handling equipment.Basic knowledge of electrical controls and use of electrical multimeter devices.Logical organization of tasks.Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with a wide range of individuals.Analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.Read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.Education
