Position Summary

The Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant supports assigned Mortgage Loan Officer(s) by providing administrative, operational, and customer service assistance throughout the mortgage origination process. This position helps ensure loans are originated, processed, and closed in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner, while delivering a positive experience to clients and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist loan officers with daily pipeline management and maintain accurate loan origination records.
• Collect, review, and verify borrower documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies, investor guidelines, and all regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with borrowers, realtors, title companies, attorneys, and other stakeholders to provide timely updates and resolve inquiries.
• Prepare and organize loan files for underwriting, processing, and closing.
• Monitor progress of loan applications, identify missing or incomplete information, and proactively follow up to keep files on track.
• Perform accurate data entry and document uploads within the Loan Origination System (LOS).
• Support compliance with CFPB, FDIC, and Fair Lending regulations by adhering to all internal quality controls.
• Assist with scheduling, appointment preparation, and marketing / outreach tasks as directed by loan officers.
