Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Rockford, IL 61104 (Northern Illinois healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit nursing) Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 1, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Shift : 4x10 hour day shifts (Monday–Friday, 9 : 30am–8 : 00pm, 10 : 00am–8 : 30pm, 10 : 30am–9 : 00pm) On-Call : Weekend and holiday on-call rotation required (Friday night, weekend, and Sunday night call coverage) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1960 - $2100 PACU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Illinois RN license preferred for local candidates) Minimum 1 year of recent PACU / Phase I nursing experience Experience in pre-op and Phase II recovery (perioperative nursing experience) Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including nights and weekends PACU Registered Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from anesthesia in the PACU Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and overall post-surgical condition Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure safe patient transitions Educate patients and families on post-operative care, recovery, and discharge instructions Respond to emergencies and participate in required on-call coverage Join our healthcare team in Rockford, Illinois, and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
