About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 2 years in PICU

License : Valid state license required, pending licenses may be accepted

Certifications : BLS, PALS

Must-Have :

• Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays
• Every other weekend availability

Description :

Clinical review and auto offer

Candidates must work nights or rotating shifts

Must work every other weekend

BLS and PALS certifications are required

Pediatric cardiac experience is preferred

Candidates can submit with a pending valid state license

Approval for up to 40 hours of time off is available

Time off is not approved during the first two weeks of the contract

The unit maintains a high census with high acuity

Patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, with possible 2 : 1 during high acuity

Special equipment includes ECMO, VADs, and CRRT

Candidates will be required to float within their scope of practice

Documentation of required certifications is needed for submissions

Previous charge experience is preferred

Epic charting system experience is strongly preferred

Experience with trauma Level I is preferred

All candidates should inform of any background hits or return staff status prior to submission

A BSN is preferred for this position

Specific experience is required, as outlined in the job description
