Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Neurology Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – Med Surg Unit Name : 3rd, Neuro Med / Surg Requirements : Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience Must Have : BLS certification Hospital Certifications : Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center Requested Skill Set : Med / Surg experience Ability to prioritize care and multitask Start IVs Basic wound care Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 20 Patient Ratios : 6 : 1 Unit Staffing : Tech support on day and night shifts; unit secretary on shift 7a–7p Equipment Used : IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology Documentation System : Meditech Scheduling Requirements : Three 12-hour shifts per week 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule Floating Policy : Contract labor is first to float Rotation used when multiple contract staff are scheduled Patient Experience Expectations : Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and families Participate in bedside shift report Build personal connections with patients and involve families in care planning Dress Code (Required) : Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) Express Healthcare Staffing of Nashville Job ID HT25.
