Senior IT Business Analyst

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Senior IT Business Analyst. Primary Function : The Senior IT Business Analyst gathers and analyzes business, technical, and non-functional requirements, identifies program / project needs, creates clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation to support system implementations, process changes, and organizational adoption. This position works closely with project managers, technical leads, subject matter experts, and business partners to ensure quality deliverables have technical compatibility and user satisfaction. The Senior IT Business Analyst will support solution designs by translating business needs into system specifications and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Create and maintain business process models, use cases, user stories, and workflow diagrams.
• Support solution design by translating business needs into system specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Perform gap analysis between current and future-state systems and processes.
• Assist in prioritizing features and requirements based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Produce high-quality business requirements documents, functional / technical specifications, standard operating procedures, end-user guides, training materials, and knowledge articles.
• Translate complex technical information into clear and concise language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain version control and documentation repository consistency.
• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
