Job Description

The Junior PR & Social Media Coordinator will play a critical role in amplifying the JHR brand, cultivating media relationships, and producing engaging digital content. This is a hands‑on role that combines creativity, strategy, and execution—telling our story through traditional media, digital platforms, and sponsor‑driven content. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, and thrives in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments such as international motorsport.

Public Relations

• Develop and execute media relations strategies to increase visibility and reinforce brand messaging.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, bloggers, and media outlets.
• Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews and press events.
• Manage relationships with contracted photographers and videographers.
• Prepare drivers for media interviews and press obligations, ensuring professional representation.
• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, media kits, and related materials.
• Support crisis communication planning and reputation management.

Social Media & Digital Content

• Plan, schedule, and manage content across multiple social platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
• Innovate creative ways to showcase the team, drivers, and partners through engaging digital content.
• Curate and prioritize posts to align with team and sponsor messaging.
• Collaborate with partners and sponsors to deliver integrated content campaigns.
• Develop and execute a content calendar, incorporating partnership activations and key team events.
• Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to drive growth and engagement.

Required Qualifications

• 2‑3 years’ experience in digital media, social media marketing, or public relations (motorsport/sports industry preferred).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital content strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills, capable of meeting tight deadlines in high‑pressure environments.
• Demonstrated creativity with the ability to adapt tone and content across multiple audiences.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (race weekends, testing, sponsor events).
• Proactive, collaborative, and innovative mindset.
