Program Director
Pay : $75,000 - $85,000 per year (DOE) Full-Time, Onsite Position, On-Call Rotation

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and visionary Program Director to lead our residential program. The Program Director will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure clinical and academic excellence, and foster a culture of safety, growth, and collaboration among staff and students.
Chrysalis, part of Embark Behavioral Health, is a long-term therapeutic boarding school for girls nestled in the serene mountains of Eureka, Montana. We specialize in helping adolescents heal, grow, and thrive through a relationship-based, trauma-informed approach. Our team is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment where young women can rediscover their strengths and build a foundation for lifelong wellness.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Executive Director and fellow leadership team members to guide the overall direction and development of residential operations.
- Supervise and support the Residential Department leads
- Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and safety standards
- Collaborate with families, therapists, teachers, and external partners to support student progress
- Lead hiring, training, and development of staff
- Promote a trauma-informed, relationship-based culture aligned with Embark's core values
- Manage budgets, schedules, and program metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Respond to crises and ensure appropriate risk management protocols are followed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, education, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of leadership experience in residential treatment, therapeutic boarding, or behavioral health settingsStrong understanding of trauma-informed care and adolescent developmentProven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with empathy and accountabilityExcellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skillsAbility to live and work in a remote mountain setting21+ years of age or olderAble to pass pre-employment drug screenAble to pass criminal investigation background checkCurrent State of Montana driver's licenseAbility to effectively communicate and build healthy relationshipsAbility to set and teach positive valuesAbility to perform CPR and First-AidCPI Instructor or ability to obtain certificationAbility to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordinglyBenefits
