LHH Recruiting Solutions is looking to fill a Senior Accountant job opportunity for this non-profit organization located in Sacramento, CA. This position is 100% in office! The right candidate should have 5 years of progressive accounting experience and a minimum of 2 years within a non-profit, and supervisory experience playing an integral role managing the day to day financial and accounting operations. Responsibilities : - Collaborate with accounting team to complete the month-end closing of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements- Reconcile bank statements and oversee the annual close process (month, quarter & year-end)- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries monthly- Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger transactions- Perform monthly analysis (revenue, expenditures, program cost metrics & ad hoc) - Participate in in the development of organizations financial plans and strategies- Assist with the coordination of the annual external audit- Assist in streamlining and making processes more efficient and being involved in financial systems decisions- Assist on projects as assignedQualifications : - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field- Industry experience in non-profit is required- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices (GAAP)- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is required- Proficiency in Quickbooks would be preferred- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook & Excel – Advanced)- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment- Exceptional organizational and time management skills- Strong communication and interpersonal abilitiesExperience : 5 years of experience as an Accountant (Senior Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant, Small Company Accounting Manager / Controller)Employment Type : Temp to HireIf you are interested in this or other job opportunities available through LHH Recruitment Solutions, please submit your resume today at www.LHH.com!

Pay Details : $37.00 to $41.00 per hour
