What You Can Expect Working in the Manufacturing Intern Position

RedGuard is currently seeking a Manufacturing Intern. This position will work closely with the Production Manager and Floor Supervisors providing support to the Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and will have a strong interest in manufacturing, construction, and / or project management.

Responsibilities

• Performs time studies to assess the duration and efficiency of various production tasks.
• Tracks and records downtime across departments, identifying causes and frequency for root cause analysis (RC / CA).
• Reviews existing work instructions for accuracy and updates; creates new documentation as needed.
• Assists in tracking and communicating daily and weekly performance metrics.
• Reviews and edits all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other shop floor standard work documentation.
• Supports lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
