Telemetry RN Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Nurse (Locum Tenens)

Unit : Telemetry (Telemetry Nursing)

Shift : Night Shift, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (October 27, 2025 – January 24, 2026)

Weekend Requirement : 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

On-Call Requirement : 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule

Floating : May float to Medical / Surgical, Behavioral Health, Joint, or Emergency Department (ED) as needed

Telemetry RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry nursing or related clinical specialty

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and on-call as scheduled

Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical, surgical, and respiratory patients in the Telemetry unit

Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness

Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided in the electronic health record (EHR)

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management

Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Adapt to floating assignments and provide clinical support to other hospital units as needed
