Tier 2 Deskside Support Technician

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an on-site Tier 2 Deskside Support to support the Office of Science under the DOE CBOSS 2.0 contract providing Tier II support to troubleshoot repair deploy and install customer-computing devices peripherals software and associated IT assets. Responsibilities include :

• Perform routine device and software maintenance including updates patches diagnostics and optimization to minimize downtime and ensure peak performance.
• Manage a loaner pool of mobile devices and peripherals (e.g. laptops smartphones tablets projectors etc.) for short-term use.
• Prepare obsolete computers peripherals and software for disposition including secure data removal from hard drives.
• Setup IT equipment and services for meetings.
• Install operate and maintain videoconference systems; provide customer training on use of videoconferencing systems.
• Maintain familiarity of existing and emerging technologies including but not limited to Apple devices (e.g. iPhones iPads Apple desktops and laptops) and other standard and future product suites.

Target Salary Range

$51000 - $82000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
