AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented UXO Technician I for remote employment in Kuwait City.

Qualified candidates must be available to start onboarding for this assignment on November 3rd, 2025. Deployment to Kuwait will happen shortly after that. This will require completion of pre-hire support activities (drug screen, background check, etc) by mid-October 2025.

Responsibilities

• Assists in : Performing reconnaissance and classification of UXO. Identifying U.S. and foreign guided missiles, bombs and bomb fuzes, projectiles and projectile fuzes, grenades and grenade fuzes, rockets and rocket fuzes, land mines and associated components, pyrotechnic items, military explosives, and demolition materials. Performs location of subsurface UXO using military and / or civilian magnetometers.
• Assists in performing excavation procedures on buried UXO.
• Performs operator maintenance of military and / or civilian magnetometers.
• Locates surface UXO using visual means.
• Assists in transporting and storing UXO and demolition materials.
• Assists in preparing non-electric firing systems for UXO disposal operations.
• Preparing electric firing systems for UXO disposal operations disposing of ammunition / explosives by burning, and disposing of ammunition / explosives by detonation.

In accordance with Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP-18), a UXO Technician I shall meet the following minimum qualifications :

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $45 to $50.
