Gastroenterologist Locums Job Alabama Facility Seeking Two Weeks per Month of GI Inpatient Coverage Starting ASAP + Ongoing Jackson and Coker's valued client in Alabama is seeking 1-2 GIs to assist with inpatient coverage starting as soon as possible (can grant temporary privileges in as quickly as 2-3 weeks) and ongoing. The client needs 2 weeks per month of coverage and is willing to work with 2 Gastroenterologists to fill the schedule if needed. This opportunity does not require advanced procedures, however, can use ERCP if you are skilled & interested in doing them while covering. Coverage Need / Schedule : - Seeking 2 weeks per month of coverage starting ASAP + ongoing (weeks do not have to be consecutive) - Will work in the hospital 100% of the time & be on call for the ED - Each weekday will be covering the floor / rounding, seeing new patients & scheduling any emergent procedures / scopes for afternoon block time - Will do procedures / scopes in the afternoon (cases that have come through the ED and that you've scheduled that day and / or from the day prior) - Must include 8 hours, Monday-Friday and 4 hours, Saturday-Sunday Details / Requirements Opportunity : - Active + Unrestricted AL Medical License & CSR required (open to IMLC candidates) - Current Board Certification required - Must have up to date case logs + references - Schedule : 24-hour call coverage Monday at 7AM - Monday at 7AM & be expected to work between 8-10 hours per day in the hospital each day - Will complete daily patient rounding, consults, follow ups in the mornings typically during the week & then do scheduled block time during the afternoon - Facility has a clinic to refer patients to and 3 other staffed GIs at the facility (they will be covering the other 2 weeks each month) - There is 24 / 7 anesthesia available
