Responsibilities
- Leading and implementing short- and long-term operational strategies for the BackOffice Bookkeeping department.
- Managing and mentoring the bookkeeping team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while ensuring performance objectives are achieved.
- Serving as the primary point of escalation for client service issues, working cross-functionally to resolve them and maintain strong relationships with franchisees.
- Driving revenue growth by optimizing team structure, overseeing billing and collections, and promoting BackOffice services to potential clients.
- Developing, tracking, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver actionable insights that improve operations and client outcomes.
- Evaluating current workflows to implement efficiencies and ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Qualifications
Experience : A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.At least 5 years in a leadership role directly managing a team.A minimum of 5 years of Property Management Accounting experience is preferred.Experience in franchise organizations or outsourced accounting is preferred.Proficiency in platforms such as AppFolio, Yardi, PropertyWare, and QuickBooks Online.Strong understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices.Demonstrated commitment to excellent franchisee service and building positive relationships.Ability to use data and insights to drive decision-making.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey information to various audiences.Adept at initiating and navigating change effectively.Acts with urgency to identify and resolve service and operational issues.Sense of humorEducation : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required (CPA is a bonus).Schedule / in-office requirements : Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday / Friday from home. 10% travel may be needed.Office locations : 500 E John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX; 1010 N University Parks Drive, Waco, TXBenefits
