Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician Assistant

Title: Physician Associate - Salem, OR

Location: Salem, OR

Shifts: Monday - Friday (8-hr shifts)

-Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Responsibilities:

• Identify short-term and long-range client care issues.
• Assess client's health by interviewing clients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, and updating medical histories.
• Order diagnostic tests, interpret test results, and develop care plans.
• Prescribe and administer medication based on evidence-based treatment plans.
• Document client care services in the electronic health record.
• Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections, immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.

Requirements:

• Must hold an active Physician Assistant License by the State of Oregon.
• Eligible to become certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physical Assistants (NCCPA).
• Ability to prescribe controlled substances and have an active DEA license.
• Experience in addiction and mental illness is preferred but not required.
• Willing to complete 8 hours of MAT training.
