Summary

A full‑time position is available for a Psychiatrist in the Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (RRTP) in the VA North Texas Health Care System—Mental Health Service (VANTHCS MHS) in Dallas, Texas. Recruitment or Relocation Incentive may be authorized for highly qualified individuals. Education Debt Reduction Program is authorized.

Base Pay Range

$200,000.00 / yr – $282,480.00 / yr

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship : Non‑citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
• Education : Doctor of Medicine or equivalent; degree from a VA‑approved school.
• License : Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, or district.
• Residency Training : Must have completed a VA‑approved accredited core specialty residency leading to board certification.
• Physician Resident Providers : Eligibility for those in accredited residency programs who meet basic requirements.
• English Language Proficiency : Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred Experience : ABPN board certified or eligible; buprenorphine treatment experience; addiction psychiatry board certified or eligible.
• Physical Requirements : Moderate lifting (15–44 lb), moderate carrying, reaching above shoulder, use of fingers, both hands, walking (8 h), vision and hearing requirements, mental and emotional stability.
