The Security Officer contributes to the Hospital's mission to care, heal, and to excel in service to our community by providing a safe environment for staff, patients, visitors, and property and overseeing and coordinating the hospital's security operations for a shift. Develops and promotes collaborative and collegial relationships throughout the hospital. This lead staff position will have an impact on employee and patient satisfaction by fostering professional security services and collaborating with all hospital departments to enhance the hospital environment and improve the patient experience.
Qualifications
Education / Experience Required :
High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of security experience or one year successful completion toward a degree in Criminal Justice or Certified Healthcare Security Officer.
Licenses / Certifications Required :
Current Class D Drivers License, BLS and Crisis Prevention Intervention Certificate (Employees must be certified within 1 year of hire date. Employees must receive yearly re-certification).
Job Functions
Pay Range : $20.00 - $24.87 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
