Job description

GHR Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN Endoscopy for a local contract nursing job in Hazel Crest, Illinois.

Endoscopy Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN to join our GI / Endoscopy team in a fast paced, patient focused setting. This is a full time role (40 hours / week) on a 5x8 day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre procedure assessments and patient education
  • Start IVs, administer medications, and monitor patients throughout procedures
  • Assist providers during endoscopic cases and manage specimens per protocol
  • Provide post procedure recovery care, discharge teaching, and follow up instructions
  • Document care accurately in the EMR and support efficient patient flow
  • Recognize and respond to procedural or sedation related complications

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license (state specific or compact)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy or GI Lab RN experience in the same specialty
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred or ability to obtain
  • Strong IV, assessment, and procedural monitoring skills
  • Comfortable with quick turnover and high patient volume
