Regional Director Of Nursing

The Regional Director of Nursing provides leadership and oversight for nursing operations across assigned clinics and healthcare sites, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include :

• Partner with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in the strategic and operational management of regional nursing services, including workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
• Provide visible leadership across assigned clinics, building trust, engagement, and accountability within nursing teams.
• Develop, prepare, and analyze operational and quality reports to identify trends, drive performance improvement, and support evidence-based practice.
• Serve as a key nursing leader on organizational committees and in leadership meetings.
• Monitor nursing coverage schedules across assigned sites; ensure adequate staffing levels and equitable workload distribution.
• Conduct staff performance evaluations, provide coaching and corrective action as needed, and support professional development of team members.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, CMS, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal organizational policies.
• Lead regional quality assurance (QA) initiatives, including monitoring, assigning, and tracking completion of staff QA responsibilities.
• Ensure effective management of Epic workflows including in-baskets, MyChart, prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor clinic operations, provide leadership presence, and assess nursing practices.
• Facilitate quarterly one-on-one meetings with staff, chart audits, AIDET observations, and team huddles.
• Provide leadership in patient safety, emergency response, and continuity of care, serving as a clinical resource when needed.
• Contribute to ongoing leadership development of nursing personnel through mentoring, education, and direct engagement.
