Mortgage Loan Originator

POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES :

This position performs a wide range of duties related to the origination of residential st and nd mortgages; which includes generating referrals / leads that are self-sourced through a variety of networking channels. This position is required to meet standards, objectives and goals set forth by management for originating loans and cross-selling products and services of the bank. This position will assume overall responsibility for the mortgage loan from application to close.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Demonstrated high level working knowledge of residential conventional / government mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing guidelines.
• Mortgage sales experience required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
• NMLS registration required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

This position is subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations as defined by the SAFE Act must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements. Failure to register successfully or to maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act will affect your eligibility for continued employment and may result in corrective counseling up to termination of employment.
