Position Summary :

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care. This role plays a vital part in supporting patients on their recovery journey—improving mobility, promoting independence, and enhancing overall well-being. This position may require flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities :

Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional mobility training.

Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress and responses to treatment.

Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, recovery strategies, and preventive care.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety standards.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of therapy programs and outcomes.

Qualifications :

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Current Mississippi PTA license (or eligibility for licensure).

Previous experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting preferred, but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.

Proficiency with documentation and basic computer systems.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Flexibility to accommodate varying hours based on patient and facility needs.
