This position entails administrative duties as well as direct care duties as assigned. Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree, pertinent licensure, and two years of direct service. Supervisory experience in behavioral health, including a working knowledge of co-occurring disorders is preferred. This position requires at least 30 days’ notice upon voluntary termination of employment.
Physical Requirements
a. Equipment use including, but not limited to, computer (including repetitive motions of typing, seeing monitor), copier, fax, printer, shredder, telephone, and voice mail.
b. Sitting for extended periods of time, walking up stairs, balancing, reaching, bending, stretching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
Duties / Responsibilities :
a. Participates in and leads treatment review meetings, staff development trainings, individual and group supervision of clinical staff, administrative and other meetings as assigned by the Associate Executive Director (AED).
b. Participates, represents and prepares for external meetings as assigned by the Director / AED.
c. Communicates changes, needs, issues, etc. to staff
d. Assists in coordinating service delivery including, but not limited to, case distribution and monitoring, programmatic statistics and outcome reports, new staff orientation, chart reviews, and best practices.
e. Participates in all required quality improvement activities, utilization management initiatives, and makes recommendations regarding service gaps and needed improvements.
f. Assists in gathering needed information for payroll pertaining to staff and completes regular staff evaluations.
g. Participates in incident management as assigned.
h. Implements structure, processes, policies, and forms relative to services assigned.
i. Assists in readying program(s) for audits, participation during audits, as well as following up on implementation of changes resulting from audits.
j. Available for consultation to all staff in regards to clinical decisions, HIPAA, processes, regulations, policies, etc.
k. Follows up on any external or internal communications assigned.
l. Will be integral in hiring, disciplining, evaluating and other HR issues pertaining to staffing for programs assigned.
m. Makes recommendations for continuous programmatic improvements.
n. Pursues ongoing professional development, education and training to maintain / upgrade skills and sustain credentials. Assists in ensuring that staff are aware of trainings, and obtain necessary continuing education.
o. Maintains effective interdepartmental relationships with other coordinators and agency staff.
p. Maintains all required documentation as per regulatory, ethical, managed care and agency standards. This includes, but is not limited to, clinical charting, insurance authorizations, fiscal documentation, utilization management reviews, and request for information by outside agencies for clinical and oversight purposes.
q. Performs related duties as required / assigned.
r. Maintains assigned work area in a clean, organized condition and report any hazard immediately to supervisor.
s. Demonstrates a caring, respectful, responsive, and professional manner in all dealings with consumers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
t. Complies with all policies and procedures of Penndel Mental Health Center.
u. Attend trainings, meetings, and supervision as assigned.
v. Engage in safe and hazard free work environment.
w. Participates in agency-wide Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
x. Will adhere to Corporate Compliance Plan and review annually.
