HR Benefits Specialist (Temp to Hire)
Location : Dayton, OH

We’re looking for an HR Benefits Specialist to join our client and play a key role in shaping a positive, people-first workplace. This role supports a culture built on empowerment, quality, and collaboration - where HR is a true business partner and employees feel supported every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be the go-to resource for all things benefits - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a seamless experience for every employee. You’ll :
Serve as the main point of contact for benefit brokers and insurance carriers.
Help employees navigate their benefits and answer questions with care and clarity.
Administer health and wellness programs, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, and FSA plans.
Manage the 401(k) program and coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth data integration across HRIS and payroll systems.
Audit enrollments, perform quality checks, and support the annual open enrollment process.
Process benefit-related paperwork for FMLA, short-term disability, and other leaves of absence.
Respond to employee inquiries through ServiceNow, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on benefits administration.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a knack for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
Salary : $75,000
