Responsibilities

• Maintains a high level of guest satisfaction and quality standards.
• Observe that each order sent out is meeting established standards correcting as needed.
• Ensures availability of supplies (or approved substitutions) in adequate time for preparation.
• Supervises delegates and coordinates the activities of other workers engaged in prepping cooking or serving guests.
• Cook and otherwise prepare food according to recipes; assist all staff as needed.
• Source the highest quality products in conjunction with the Purchasing department.
• Continually reviews kitchen operations for improvements in all areas.
• Follows all food safety sanitation and HACCP guidelines as applicable.
• Works days nights weekends special events and holidays as needed.
• Write a sushi menu which is properly costed out and approved by management.
• Maintain flexibility with your schedule and comfortable with a changing environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work occasional bending and crouching. There are no adverse conditions but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour 7 days a week work operation.
