Job description
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and operational adjustments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings
- Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
- Knowledge of material types, thicknesses, and grain direction preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
- Team-oriented, dependable, and able to meet daily production schedules
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC laser cutting machines according to work instructions and customer specifications
- Load raw material sheets, unload finished parts, and manage scrap material
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency
- Inspect parts throughout production using appropriate measuring tools and documentation
- Perform basic machine maintenance, nozzle changes, and lens cleaning as required
- Follow all safety procedures related to laser operation, material handling, and shop equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
