The Credit Analyst is responsible for performing credit analysis assignments related to the pre-funding development, analysis and underwriting functions of commercial credits.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare loan presentations for use by lending officers or committees to make lending decisions on new credit approvals and renewals.
  • Complete vendor due diligence and / or secondary market investor analysis under the direction of the VP, Credit Administration
  • Assess total risk pertaining to requests for new or additional credit by new or existing customers, primarily through the analysis of financial statements and credit history.
  • Prepare annual credit reviews for existing commercial customers. The reviews would include financial analysis of tax returns, company prepared statements and audits along with any changes that may have occurred since the previous review.
  • Spread financial statements using Lending Cloud, the bank’s commercial credit analysis software, as needed.
  • Analyze industry trends which may or may not raise potential concerns.
  • Complete impairment worksheets used by bank management to assess potential loan losses.
  • Compile board reports primarily through the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in business preferred; or up to three years related experience and / or training in a lending, credit analyst, or regulatory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
