JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director of Technology Service and Support, supports technical information solutions and provides technical information systems support to the school community. Resolves moderately complex technical problems and may provide functional direction to student employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyses and solves hardware / software issues on both PC and Macintosh platforms for students, faculty, and staff.
- Analyzes and resolves problems on computer applications and systems and provides a wide range of in-depth technical assistance to faculty and staff.
- Installs and updates software per licensing requirements.
- Provides individual and / or group instruction and training to students, faculty, and staff on computer technologies, as appropriate.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and / or systems. Participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
- Provides general and in-depth technical guidance, assistance, and maintenance support to end users, as requested, on diverse software applications, operating systems, and hardware systems.
- Maintains a high standard of customer service in dealing with and responding to questions.
- Maintains applicable records including user lists, user accounts and security, and equipment inventory.
- Maintains classroom, auditorium, and meeting room audiovisual systems.
- Trains and supervises student employees, as appropriate.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the school's discretion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
