The primary responsibilities will be to apply structural engineering and detailing techniques to support the design and construction of railroad bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and associated railroad structures for freight rail and transit clients. Additional duties include performing standard AREMA bridge analysis and design calculations, assisting with geometric layout, developing structural details, performing structural load rating calculations, quantity development, and using specialized software such as LARSA, MathCAD, LEAPBridge (CONSPAN), LPile, FB MultiPier and MicroStation. Occasional bridge inspections of in-service bridges or bridge construction, may be required. CADD plan production will also be required. This person will work under the direction of a Licensed Structural and / or Registered Professional Engineer on both local and national projects.
