We are seeking a detail-oriented

• Mechanical Designer – Piping 1
• for a short-term contract opportunity in
• Wilsonville, AL
• . This entry-level role supports piping and mechanical design for retrofit, environmental, and new generation projects within the power generation sector.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Create 3D piping and equipment layouts using design software.
• Produce 2D orthographic and isometric drawings, P&IDs, pipe supports, and material take-offs.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers from various disciplines to ensure accurate and efficient designs.
• Apply relevant codes and standards to all design work.
• Perform field data collection to support design development.
• Required Skills & Qualifications :
• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of mechanical piping design experience in power generation or similar heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools for piping system layout.
• Preferred :
• Proficiency with
• Plant 3D
• Basic understanding of mechanical piping systems and retrofit or new construction workflows.
• Familiarity with ASME / ANSI codes and standards.

Job Types : Full-time, Contract

Pay : $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
