Job Title : Safety Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Support and report to the Senior Safety Manager.
Authorized to stop work in any area to address serious or life-threatening safety issues.
Identify training needs for project teams and deliver safety training, including OSHA 10-hour courses.
Monitor and enforce compliance with the site-specific safety plan, company safety manual, applicable OSHA standards, and any client-specific requirements.
Conduct incident investigations with site leadership and prepare written reports for the Safety Director.
Assist in developing and reviewing safety planning tools such as the Project Safety Plan and Emergency Action Plan.
Maintain statistical data on incidents, trends, and contributing factors, and recommend improvements to safety programs.
Supervise assigned Safety Coordinators and support their development and training.
Facilitate early return-to-work programs for injured employees.
Monitor safety inspections for frequency, accuracy, and validation, and report findings weekly to site leadership and safety management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in construction safety.
Licenses and Certifications
OSHA 30
OSHA 500
OSHA 510
ASP certification (BCSP)
Valid driver’s license
Skills and Knowledge
Strong conflict resolution skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to train competent persons in trenching, excavation, scaffolding, and fall protection
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety equipment, and construction procedures
Ability to read construction schedules, drawings, and plans
Travel Requirements
Daily travel between project sites may be required
Must have a valid Motor Vehicle Record with no restrictions or suspensions
Pay Details : $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
