As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrols in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible and approachable presence. You will conduct regular patrols and provide outstanding customer service, fostering a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Pay Rate : $23.53 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or incidents encountered during patrols, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, other security-related personnel, and local authorities as necessary.
  • Assist visitors and employees by providing information and directions within the government location.
  • Maintain detailed written and / or electronic logs and reports of activities and incidents encountered during the shift.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Possess a Security Professional Guard Card; this is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
