Travel : Surgical / Operating Room (OR) Tech – Evenings

Location : Syracuse, NY

Start Date : 11 / 14

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Evenings, 5x8s (11 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM and 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM; total 80 hours per 2-week pay period)

Position Overview :

HumanEdge Health is seeking experienced Operating Room (OR) Technicians for evening shifts at a Level 1 trauma center in Syracuse, NY. This travel assignment is ideal for surgical techs with recent acute care OR experience in adult surgical and specialty cases.

Responsibilities :

Assist in surgical procedures including trauma, ortho, general, ENT, vascular, and GYN cases

Scrub and circulate during surgeries

Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper surgical instrumentation

Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team to provide safe and efficient patient care

Support OR workflow and case management

Requirements :

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required

Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience within the last 4 years in an acute care facility of similar size or trauma level (Level 1 trauma center or equivalent teaching hospital)

Experience in general surgery and specialty areas : ortho, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GU, GYN

Scrub experience required

First-time travelers considered only if experienced in similar size hospitals

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred :

Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience

Familiarity with perioperative protocols and OR EMR systems
