Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for night shifts in a small emergency department with a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratio and GA or compact RN license required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a small, 4-bed Emergency Room within a 25-bed facility
  • Night shifts scheduled as 3x12s one week and 4x12s the next, 19 : 00-7 : 00
  • Blocked scheduling with every other weekend required
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4
  • May be the only RN in the ER, with potential support from MS floor RN or LPN
  • Charting system is CSPI, with willingness to train
  • Main responsibilities include providing acute care in an ER with limited staff
  • No requested time off (RTO) permitted during the contract
  • Not accepting former permanent employees as travelers
  • Travel pairs are not accepted
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Potential for floating support from MS floor staff

  • Active GA or compact RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and PALS in hand; CPI preferred but not required
  • First time travelers accepted with prior Emergency Department experience
