Associate Attorney Real Estate Zoning & Land Use

Our client a prestigious full-service law firm with over 150 years of legal excellence is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its thriving Real Estate Practice Group. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team on sophisticated and high-impact projects involving land use zoning development and related litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise and represent clients in complex real estate transactions including acquisitions sales leasing financing and development.
• Manage land use and zoning matters such as subdivisions rezoning variances conditional use permits and related appeals.
• Represent clients before municipal and zoning boards as well as in administrative and court proceedings when necessary.
• Draft review and negotiate contracts and legal documents including purchase agreements leases and development agreements.
• Conduct legal research and develop strategic solutions for land use and real estate challenges.
• Collaborate with attorneys and professionals across practice groups to deliver high-quality client-focused service.
• Stay abreast of evolving laws and regulations impacting real estate and land use in New York.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active membership in the New York Bar.
• 4 years of real estate law experience with an emphasis on land use and zoning.
• Background in real estate litigation is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex real estate matters independently.
• Exceptional research writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• A collaborative mindset and client-first approach.
• A portable book of business is preferred and will be discussed confidentially.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary: $200000 $250000 commensurate with experience
