About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years experience preferred, with consideration for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in high-risk or high-census Labor and Delivery units.

License : Current nursing license required.

Certifications : AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP, STABLE.

Must-Have :

Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment.

Travelers may be expected to float between units based on skill sets.

On-call requirement is 1 low-census shift per pay period.

Weekend coverage is required every other or every third week.

Candidates will float between units based on needs.

Description :

The position requires experience to be independent on night shift.

The expected patient ratios are 1 : 1 during labor and 1 : 3 for postpartum care.

The facility admits low-risk patients and those with specific high-risk conditions.

The unit is a 14-bed LDRP with 1 operating room.

Active labor patient care will be provided at a 1 : 1 ratio.

Postpartum care will be provided at a 1 : 3 ratio.

Candidates must be proficient in various nursing skills, including but not limited to labor support, postpartum care, and neonatal assessments.

Knowledge of charting systems is essential, with specific experience in the required system.

Responsibilities will include assisting with labor and delivery, administering medications, and providing patient education.

The unit follows national staffing standards for obstetrics.

Candidates must be flexible and responsive to changing unit needs.
